The Nextteq 1,3-Butadiene Tube No. NX113L is a high-sensitivity detector tube that measures 1,3-butadiene over two ranges—0.5–10.0 ppm with one 100 mL pump stroke and 0.1–2.0 ppm with four strokes—using a clear pink-to-white color change, with single-stroke readings converted using a simple 5× formula. With an ultra-low 0.02 ppm detectable limit at 400 mL, a 3-year shelf life, and a 32–104°F operating range, this tube is ideal for low-level workplace monitoring relative to the 2 ppm TLV-TWA guideline, noting that hydrogen sulfide and isobutylene can produce similar stains and higher readings, and that ammonia can make the stain endpoint difficult to discern.
