The Nextteq 1,3-Butadiene Tube No. NX113M provides direct measurement of 1,3-butadiene over two ranges—5–100 ppm with one 100 mL pump stroke and 2.5–50 ppm with two strokes—using a clear pale-yellow-to-pale-blue color change, with two-stroke readings converted using a simple ½× formula. With a 0.5 ppm detectable limit at 200 mL, a 1-year shelf life, and a 32–104°F operating range, this tube is well suited for workplace and process monitoring relative to the 2 ppm TLV-TWA guideline, noting that esters, alcohols, and ketones can produce similar stains and higher readings, while aromatic hydrocarbons above C3 may turn the entire reagent pale brown.
