The Nextteq 2-Butanol Tube No. NX115 provides direct measurement of 2-butanol over two ranges—10–300 ppm with two 100 mL pump strokes and 4–120 ppm with four strokes—using a clear yellow-to-pale-blue color change, with temperature correction required and four-stroke readings converted using a simple 2/5× formula. With a 3 ppm detectable limit at 200 mL, a 2-year shelf life, and a 50–104°F operating range, this tube is well suited for workplace and process monitoring relative to the 100 ppm TLV-TWA guideline, noting that alcohols, ethers, esters, ketones, and halogenated hydrocarbons can produce brown stains and higher readings, while aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons above C3 may turn the entire reagent pale brown.
