With a 2-year shelf life, a strictly controlled 68°F operating temperature, and calibration by gas chromatography, this tube is well suited for workplace and process monitoring of benzaldehyde, even though no TLV value is currently listed (TLV: N/A), noting that alcohols, ethers, ketones, aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons, and halogenated hydrocarbons can produce similar stains and lead to higher readings.
