The Nextteq Benzene Tube No. NX111M provides direct measurement of benzene over three ranges—4–100 ppm, 2–50 ppm, and 1–25 ppm—using 1, 2, or 4 pump strokes and a clear white-to-greenish-brown color change, with temperature correction required and single- or four-stroke readings converted using a simple formula. With a 0.2 ppm detectable limit at 400 mL, a 2-year shelf life, and a 32–104°F operating range, this tube is well suited for workplace and process monitoring relative to the very low 0.02 ppm TLV-TWA guideline, noting that toluene and xylene can produce yellowish-brown stains and higher readings, while carbon monoxide and hexane can cause the reagent to change color and obscure the stain endpoint.
