With a 3 ppm detectable limit, a 2-year shelf life, and a 32–104°F operating range, this tube is well suited for workplace and process monitoring relative to the very low 0.02 ppm TLV-TWA guideline, noting that toluene and xylene can produce yellowish-brown stains and higher readings, while hexane at high concentrations can turn the entire reagent dark grey.
