The Nextteq Benzyl Chloride Tube No. NX221L provides direct measurement of benzyl chloride from 0.5–14 ppm using a single 100 mL pump stroke and a clear yellowish-green-to-pink color change, with the tube scale calibrated on vinyl chloride and benzyl chloride concentrations determined via a simple conversion chart. With a 3-year shelf life, a narrow 59–77°F operating range, and calibration by standard gas cylinder method, this tube is well suited for workplace and process monitoring relative to the 1 ppm TLV-TWA guideline, noting that acetylene and ethylene can cause lower readings in coexistence, while hydrogen chloride below 500 ppm and chlorine below 50 ppm do not affect accuracy.
