The Nextteq Butyl Acrylate Tube No. NX177 provides direct measurement of butyl acrylate from 2–60 ppm using two 100 mL pump strokes (200 mL total) and a clear yellow-to-pale-blue color change, with the tube calibrated on methyl acrylate and offering the same sensitivity for butyl acrylate, and temperature correction required for accurate readings. With a 0.5 ppm detectable limit, a 2-year shelf life, and a 32–104°F operating range, this tube is well suited for workplace and process monitoring relative to the 2 ppm TLV-TWA guideline, noting that alcohols can produce similar stains and higher readings, while aliphatic hydrocarbons above C3, halogenated hydrocarbons, esters, and aromatic hydrocarbons may turn the entire reagent dark brown.
