Description
The Nextteq Butyl Cellosolve Tube No. NX151 provides direct measurement of butyl cellosolve from 10–1,000 ppm using three 100 mL pump strokes (300 mL total) and a clear yellow-to-pale-blue color change, with the tube scale calibrated on Ethyl Cellosolve and butyl cellosolve concentrations determined by doubling the temperature-corrected reading. With a 4 ppm detectable limit, a 2-year shelf life, and a 50–95°F operating range, this tube is well suited for workplace and process monitoring relative to the 20 ppm TLV-TWA guideline, noting that alcohols, ethers, esters, and ketones can produce similar stains and higher readings, while aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons above C3 and halogenated hydrocarbons may turn the entire reagent brown.
