The Nextteq Carbon Disulfide Tube No. NX118L is a high-sensitivity detector tube that measures carbon disulfide over two low ranges—0.2–6.4 ppm with two 100 mL pump strokes and 0.1–3.0 ppm with four strokes—using a clear pale-purple-to-pale-yellow color change, with temperature correction required for accurate readings. With an ultra-low 0.02 ppm detectable limit at 400 mL, a 1-year refrigerated shelf life (32–50°F), and a 32–104°F operating range, this tube is ideal for low-level workplace monitoring relative to the very low 1 ppm TLV-TWA guideline, noting that sulfur dioxide and hydrogen sulfide can produce similar stains and higher readings, while chlorine produces a distinct white stain from the inlet side of the tube.
